November was less about new art, and more about sharing my ever growing collection of art.

Every year, around October, Christmas designs start making a proper comeback and by November, it’s all about those holiday designs. My absolute favorite project each year is to work on new Christmas designs, so of course November is a happy month for me to see those designs being picked up by lovely creative folks all over the world and making their mark with it! I love seeing the innovative cards, gift tags, holiday promos, scrapbooks, and many other items being created by my customers. I know many people love to create their own personalised items – because its such a special touch, and something unique that nobody else has! Do you make your own Christmas cards & designs?
November is also the time of my annual 40% off Black Friday Sale. It really happens only once a year during this time. This year I did something special in addition to 40% off. I wanted to make this event special for my customers, so I offered an exclusive set of watercolor florals for FREE on purchases above $25. I personally mailed out the free gift to the qualifying purchasers, and it was just so lovely to connect with them. This was an exclusive set, so it will be a while before it hits the shop!
Of course, I can’t stop myself from creating new art, no matter how busy I may be with other things for the shop. I launched 2 new designs packs this month. This set of Modern Christmas Digital Papers, and my absolute favourite in a long, long time, this set of light and airy Watercolor Eucalyptus Illustrations graphics. I loved creating both the sets. I painted the digital papers to add to my line of abstract watercolor graphics – don’t they look gorgeous? The Eucalyptus set took a lot of deliberation, and many iterations to get right. You know how sometimes you have a vision in your head, and you have to keep going back to the drawing board, till you get it right? It was one of those projects.
I also started a new product line – DIY editable templates! For so long, my customers have asked for designs with my artwork that they can edit themselves. This is something that has been on my to do list since like 2018 (I know, right). So finally, I took the plunge and started with a few Christmas designs featuring artwork from Merriest Christmas Watercolor Kit. Christmas cards (with photos) and gift tags / hang tags are currently available.
On the personal side, things have been calmer than October, but still chaotic. We have temporarily moved out of our flat for some renovations to happen. The timeframe given to us is 9 weeks. We are through with the first month, but I simply can’t wait to have my natural light filled space back! While this current accommodation is “adequate”, there is no denying that I miss my kitchen, my study, all the space to move about and all my pretty furniture which I’ve picked out carefully over the years. This space is basically “all brown” like a typical short term rental. Oh well, I hope to move back super soon!
I’ve been reading lots of Christmassy books, and watching all things Christmas on Netflix! I recommend Dash & Lily on Netflix. It’s just so cute, and it took me back to my teenage years. I loved it – and of course its full of Christmas cheer. Last night I watched Holiday Made to Order – which was also a lovely Sunday night watch. The actor looked very familiar, and dear Google soon revealed that of course – it’s a grown up Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls – a modern classic! Basically, when it comes to Christmas movies, I will watch allll the sappy, cute, heartwarming movies there are to watch. Some of my favourites are The Polar Express, Love Actually and The Holiday. I’m always looking for more, so please recommend your favourites!
